Mist-covered mountains and quiet streets of Yufuin town in Oita, Japan, during early morning

🌿 Living This Moment

📍Location: Yufuin, Japan
🎬 Inspired by: Kung Fu Panda

There’s a quote from Kung Fu Panda that quietly hit me:

“You’re too concerned with what was and what will be.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery,
but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.”

When I first heard that line,
it felt like it was meant for me.

Kinrin Lake in Yufuin, Japan — Mist rises over the tranquil waters on a quiet winter morning.

“In the stillness of Yufuin’s morning mist,
I stood with my worries.”

I’m at the age where I should be preparing for a career.
Only recently did I discover what I truly want to do—
but I’m far from ready.

So I started worrying.
About what comes next.
About whether I’ll be enough.
Even though the future hasn’t even arrived yet.

People keep telling me,
“You’re young. You’ve got time.”
Still, I feel anxious.
Will I really be okay?

Then I heard that quote again.
And I thought—
Maybe I should stop asking the future for answers.
Maybe I should just show up,
here and now.

Golden Hills of Yufuin, Japan — Rolling slopes covered in golden grass under a clear blue sky.

“A quiet hill, bare and brave —
just like me starting again.”

So I’ve decided:
I will live this day as best I can.
While gently preparing for what’s to come.

And I wonder—
What will this small decision shape, someday?

That’s why I write this now.
Because I choose to live this moment.
